Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal data.

Last updated: 1 February 2026

1. Who we are

The Restorative Academy ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at enquiries@therestorativeacademy.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry or booking request through our website, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, GDC number, practice name, course of interest, and any message you send us.

3. Why we collect it

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, process course bookings, issue invoices, and provide the information you have requested. Where you have given consent, we may also use your details to tell you about future courses.

4. Our lawful basis for processing

We process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to your enquiry and administering course bookings.

Where you have enquired about or booked one of our courses, we may also email you about similar courses we run. We do this under the "soft opt-in" permitted by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). You can refuse this at the point of enquiry by ticking "I'd prefer not to receive these" on our enquiry form, and every such email carries an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. Refusing or unsubscribing will never affect the emails we send about a booking you have already made, such as your invoice or joining instructions.

5. How long we keep your data

We retain your contact details for 24 months from the date of our last contact with you, after which they are securely deleted, unless we are required to retain them for longer for legal, accounting or regulatory purposes.

6. Sharing your data

We never sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties, except with the email service provider we use to send you correspondence relating to your enquiry or booking. Any such provider is bound by appropriate data processing terms.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to our processing of it. To exercise any of these rights, please email enquiries@therestorativeacademy.co.uk and we will respond promptly.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
