Dr Zaid Ali

Dr Zaid Ali is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Leeds Dental Institute and Lead for Oral & Dental Rehabilitation for Head and Neck Cancer patients. He has over 20 years of experience in dentistry and is listed on the GDC specialist register for Restorative Dentistry.

His clinical work includes complex multidisciplinary restorative cases spanning implant dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, fixed prosthodontics and removable prosthodontics.

He is also Training Programme Director for Dental Core Training in Leeds and won Middle Years Trainer of the Year in 2023.

Consultant in Restorative Dentistry

Dr Abdulrahman Elmougy

Dr Abdulrahman Elmougy graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Sheffield in 2003. Following qualification, he spent 11 years in general dental practice in Barnsley, developing extensive clinical experience and a strong foundation in comprehensive patient care.

After undertaking further training in implant dentistry, he pursued an Academic Clinical Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry before completing specialist training in the specialty. He holds the qualifications BDS, MFDS RCS (Edinburgh), MSc, and FDS RCS (Edinburgh) in Restorative Dentistry.

He is currently a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, where he manages complex restorative cases referred from primary and secondary care services. His clinical interests encompass the multidisciplinary management of patients requiring advanced restorative treatment, including prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontology, and implant rehabilitation.

Alongside his clinical role, he is actively involved in education and training. He teaches postgraduate specialist trainees in restorative dentistry and has extensive experience in undergraduate dental education. He is also an examiner for the Royal Colleges of England and Edinburgh, contributing to the assessment and development of future generations of dental professionals.

His combination of specialist clinical expertise, academic involvement, and commitment to professional standards enables him to deliver high-quality patient care while supporting excellence in dental education and training.
